I am on a Tier 1 (General) visa and my wife-to-be is on a Tier 4 visa, we plan to marry shortly in the UK. Will I be able to extend her stay with me in the UK as my dependant without her having to leave the UK and apply from abroad?

Don't hijack a topic with a query irrelevant to the subject of the topic ... in an effort to elicit a response from someone who has posted in the topic.
