Me and my wife applied for Tier1 PSW (Me- main applicant, She-dependant) on 3rd of April (Documents were received by UKBA by 4th of April) We got acknowledgement letter on 9th of May dated 3rd of May. We still have not received Biometrics letter. Is it normal? how long will it take? And also when we ask in Post office they say that postal orders have not been taken yet by UKBA (not been cashed)! Is this end of the world?

Thank You
Well, seems we are in the same boat as i haven't receive bim letter;
Applied : 2nd April
Acknowledgment : 30 April - dated 26 April
Fee taken : 30 April by Postal order
I have confirm the payment by calling postal order team
01246542091 - 01246542500
You can do so as well
Thanks, will check.
If You know is payment connected with biometrics letter? I mean Will we not receive biometrics until they have not taken money? And one more question, Can we use now our money from our account? or shell we wait until we get biometrics? Thanks again for help

I don't think payment is connected with biom letter, if it would be then we would have done our biomt ages ago.

To be honest dont know when we ll get our biom done, cant starve till then, therefore there is no harm using ur own money. Thats wht i think

Anyways just an update, Today I received an email from UKBA Northeast Yorkshire and Humber Region acknowledging my complaint made on the 12/06/2012 giving me a reference number. The complaint was about not receiving biometric invitation letter. Application made on the 4th April, Ack recd on the 14th of May dated 9th of May and since then nothing.....

They have said will resolve this within the next 20 working days, guess just a standard system generated letter.
Hi there, can you please provide us the correct email address on which I can send my complaint, as I didn't received my biometric invitation letter, I applied on 30th MArch

MP stands for Member of Parliament. It really depends on how proactive your MP is about your case. A few of them have been known to follow up and make things fast as you have seen in the case of Albaks. You have nothing to lose, well worth giving a shot!

Any one can give me suggestion, as i applied on 3 Feb, Biometrics on 20 March. My case was bit complicated but now the complication is resolved as my case worker demanded me statement on 16 May and then on 6 July they demanded it again while saying they missed it.
Till that no response, what I can do now. I have not written my MP also, due to case complication. Now I dont know , Is it good to write Mp or simply have to weight. Thanks in advance

Application Sent: 31st March 2012
Ack Received: 28th April 2012 (Dated 25th April 2012)
Bio Letter: 25th June 2012 (Dated 22nd June 2012)
Bio Submitted: 26th June 2012
BRP: Waiting
Docs: Waiting

Does anyone know which applications the UKBA is processing now? Have they started processing applications who submitted biometrics in April?

Now that you have given your biometrics, I guess you should expect your application to be considered with 4 weeks. It states that on the ukba website, which was updated this Monday.

This would be the best case scenario. We all know the worst case. :D

ukpswstatus2 wrote:Why do you want to seal or sign the e statements if you are with natwest?

Unlike Llyods bank Natwest will print the official statements in their branch, I know that because my wife's account is with natwest and they are ready to print the statements any time.

Have you ever asked them to print the official statement? instead of e-statements?
@ukpswstatus2 - The case workers email has clearly mentioned that if the missed or lost statements are not sent within a week of email, the application will be rejected as invalid.

If i request them for original statement by post, they'll take request and send after 10 working days... it can even be 14 days..

if i would have gone for that option.. then by that time the case worker would have cooly closed the file as invalid..

Also, if i ask for e statments, they said then can print it but will not sign or stamp it, it seems..
AFAIK natwest will print the official statements in their branch itself and no need to wait for them to send in post.

I don't understand what you are saying!!
@ ukpswstatus2 -

The statement which you receive in post is original and it looks very different from the one which they print in branch.

It's with letter head and the statement printed in branch is not with letter head. Ask your wife to show you a statement printed in branch and compare it with the statement which she received via post. You'll know the difference.

Furthermore, ukba will reject the application if plp submit the statement which Natwest print in branch and issue them ,if its not sealed and stamped.

To me Natwest said they can print it and can not sign or stamp as they no more do it. In that case, if i would have gone for that option i would have got my docs returned and visa will be rejected as application 'invalid'

UKBA accept the postal statement which is only original ( also postal statement doesnt require stamp or sign) and the statement printed in bank is not original.. hope you can be clear with this !!

In my case, they lost my postal statement and emailed me to submit the missing ones by post.
@ricky_1

I have proved you are proved wrong. because I have received my BRP today and will received the documents tomorrow.

If they reject your application by reason of the natwest bank statement printed in bank, then you can sue UKBA because they are cent percent valid.
