Do you need the COA for a particular reason?

Everyone in this forum tries to help but since you are not clarifying everything and not been polite, I don't think they will help you, sorry.
Applied for EEA4 on 24/02/2012.
HO received on 27/02/2012.
Refusal received on 16/08/2012 dated 11/08/2012
At the court, the HO REP withdrawn the decision and asked me to send the DOC for the time before marriage.
PR dated 05/03/2013

hey, bamby, just to clarify. If you applied for a PR card on form EEA4, then you must have had a RC which is most likely valid for another couple of months. The Regulations actually only mention that the Sec of State must issue COA to those applying on form EEA2. So, even though the UKBA are in the habit of issuing COAs to EEA4 applicants, legally this is not required.

Why do you need COA anyway? If you want to travel, withdraw your passport without affecting your application and travel. If your employer is on your case, again, withdraw your passport and show it to the employer. By the time your RC expires it should be 6 months from your April application so either way COA is not THAT important.

Finally, COA does not say that you applied for a PERMANENT residence card. It simply says smth like, thank you for applying for a RESIDENCE card (without specifying whether it's PR or just RC). So, even though you complained, there is not much in your complaint, my friend, apart from getting upset over nothing.

Wait patiently until 5.5-6 months are up and then you can stir a conflict, but until then, feel free to silently (or with advice) monitor the progress of EEA4 apps here.

Good luck!

Thank you so much for the explanation mcovet..
It is well said and explained...
My lawyer advised me to email them for coa..
Now that it's not so important,I won't bother to email them concerning it,wil rather ask for update on my PR instead...
I applied in April..so am really expectant, though I got am email from them this week telling me my application is with the correct team and it's being marked to be actioned ASAP...
Will post update here :D :D

Hi all, rang the home office yesterday for an update on my eea4 application submitted in April 2012,and the lady told me I should have heard from the HO that something was posted on 20th July to my solicitor,I rang my solicitor immediately and he said nothing was posted t him ,that he'll give me a call if he receives any document of such..now I tried to call the HO back and it seems they've closed ...my solicitor told me to call hem and ask for the tracking number so that I can track...
Any suggestion people.?am counting so much on your advice ...
