what was the exact wording in the refusal letter?

what evidence did you provide regarding csi?
were both of you covered in the csi policy?

why did they retain your passport?

Reapply on the new basis, ie worker. Her employment in important, not yours.

guideline suggests that Private medical insurance should cover individual in majority of circumstances which means any suitable plan from uk based company should fulfill this requirement. But no plan in world cover pre-existing conditions and provide 100% comprehensive treatment which should be common sense for ukba officials if they use it.
