European enquiries contact centre

Post by dasjoker » Fri Jul 08, 2011 10:14 am

Hi,
if you wouldn't mind could you share the way you are contacting the home office. Because i read a lot of people using different way for example fax(requesting their CoA) and email(ask their passport back by email.) but i couldn't find any information on Home Office.

Hi guys,

I was looking to email address for complaining and i checked on home office web page but email address has been deleted from new home office web page so i searched on forum and found this email address NWCSU@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
If you need to complain about processing delays or mishandled cases, it's good to use email address where EEA permits are concerned.

Hi,

I am waiting for my RC under EEA2.
Now I have a busness trip in 10 days and urgently needs my passport back.
However when I phone them, a recorded voice says it is a high season so they won't answer phone calls..... And the fax number seems wrong.
How can I get to talk to them? Do they really reply emails in time??

Many thinks!

Anybody knows phone number for complaints? They say if you complain by email it will take 20 working days.

There seem to be two different fax numbers in this thread:

0151 213 1514

and

0151 213 29 09

Can anyone confirm which is correct?

A Surrinder Singh case seeking to apply for student finance

Post by Jamaican1 » Tue Aug 14, 2012 10:50 am

I applied to SFE for student finance last year as I was about to commence a degree programme and my application was declined.

I was told that, as I was a Jamaican holding an EEA Family Permit obtained through marriage to a British National who lived in Switzerland before we both moved here to England; they were not sure where I fit in.
They then sent my application to the Migrant Workers Team who promptly deleted my application. I was then told to make a new application to the EU Team and my application was successful.

As an EU student I only receive help with the fees for my course. I am in desperate need of help with childcare while I am in university. As such, I rang the UE team yesterday to find out if there was any extra help available and was told by an advisor that in his opinion I should be receiving student finance via SFE and not as an EU student. In such a case I would be entitled to the full funding (ie help with childcare costs etc.), rather than just fees.

I then called SFE and after almost an hour on the phone, I was told yes I was entitled but I had to cancel my current application with the EU team. I told them I was reluctant to do so unless it was for certain that I could receive student finance via SFE. The advisor spoke to her team leader who contacted the EU team and she then came back to me and said yes it is certain that you will qualify for help from SFE, so ring the EU team and cancel your application with them and make a new one to us (SFE).

I rang the EU team and asked them to check for me firstly to ensure that I did in fact qualify before cancelling the application and was told after a long wait that they are not sure as one team leader thinks yes and another thinks no.

Can anyone advise me what to do please?

I think you should start a new thread all of your own, and be sure to explain what and where the Migrant Workers Team is, and similarly the EU team.

Just saw this useful mail from zackeea2 from another thread so copying it over here:
"
I sent three emails (same complaint) to these addresses :
NWCSU@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk : this one is not in service anymore.
UKBACustomerComplaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk : this one works.
EuropeanOperational@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk : this one works but I received a response from them saying that they are not the relevant people to speak with regarding my problem.
And the fax is : 0161 261 1132.
"

Thanks zackeea2!

See the very first post in this thread (unless you've tried that and it bounced).
