Hi Nazgems,
I applied on 24th to Chennai. I did not get any reply, until 59th Working working day. You got to minus the 2 bank holidays (Queens Jubilee and India Independence Day)

I wrote to Chennai BHC and asked them as they had promised that a decision will be made within 60 working days, and immediately within two hours of my email, reminding the number of days to them, and they called us to say that an Interview will be held.

Again after the interview yesterday, 21st Aug, they just said, we will let you know.

We are still waiting for an answer. It has been full complete 90 days today, and 62 working days. Waiting for an answer.

Just to update about the Interview, it was just formal interview, just to establish that the marriage was a proper one and not just bogus paper marriage.

I would say,

I am also so angry at BHC it's been 4 months and 2 weeks I have been waiting for my visa and still no news from them. I don't think they care for us at all.

Im feeling like screaming loud..its terrible waiting ....what patience can anybody keep at this moment they should give us a better option..a chance to explain what went wrong and why.. they simply judged us..with nothing in our side. Hope our patience and waiting pays off in our favour..thats it nothing more we can expect !!!

Atleast a british citizen who got this citizenship after following..all rules and laws of uk govt.. he cant be a fraud asking a visa..indeed they are questioning them self their laws..for then why is he in question..why a refusal of entry clearance for his spouse its his human right to live with his partner if i get a chance to speak then i wil baaammm..them all..

You appealed 17 July. It's now 17 August. By 24 August athe latest they will have processed your appeal, provided you have paid the fee.

They will give ECM 19 weeks exactly from the date of processing. You will get a letter with this confirmed by about 5/6 Sept at the latest. If you don't then phone them up with your details and they'll be able to guide you.
reviebed nothing as yet just berm told thier is a backlog hopefully will call tuesday now and see is there amything you think i should to get the appeal hurried up

Hi,

I have applied for UK visa settlement on 27th July2012, at VFS new Delhi. 20 working days are completed but the status of application is still showing " Forwarded to BHC". I'm little worried now and would be greatful if anybody can help me letting me know that generally how much time it takes status to change to "in process" after applying and then how much time it takes to make decision after status is changed to "in process"?

Is there is anyone who have applied nearby this date and have any update that would be very helpful?

Thanks

@ sKAUR

Can i just ask why your husbands visa was rejected.
My husbans was rejected because we only enclosed the English A1 certificate and didnt enclose the english test results.

It seems like a waste of time and mone for 1 peice of paper.

I lodged my husbands appeal on the 11th June, got a response back from them on 13th July saying the appeal had been lodged, and that the ECO has until 24th November to decide. This is over the 19 weeks they state, but when i contacted them, they say they give a few extra weeks for post.

I am also sick of waiting, and it annoys me that you cant make any plans at all.

Regards
