I got both my approval letter and invitation from the council today!

BC application based on Long stay in the UK + ILR
Application Method: NCS
Date Sent: 09 July
Fees Collected: 24 July
Acknowledgement: few days later
Date received Approval: 03/10/2012 dated 27th September
Ceremony: 28th November but going to go private.
Passport: ASAP after ceremony.

I did not receive an acknowledgement letter. I suspect it might have been lost when the shared maildrop at the block of flats where I live was emptied out (the timing seemed about right). This suspicion made me check the mail with paranoid frequency for the past few months, as the other letters seem to be necessary to complete the process.

The ceremony is to be in Hackney, even though I specified Islington on the form. I live in Hackney borough, but in the Brownswood area, so Islington town hall is much closer than Hackney town hall. I can't really complain though - I'm sure it's much worse for people living outside of the large cities.

P.S. I found that F&H Council's NCS is the cheapest in London £40

Date Received by UKBA: 03/05/2012.
Debit of Fees: 05/05/2012 (Saturday). Acknowledgment also dated same but received 08/05/2012.
Date of Approval: 23/08/2012.
Date of Receipt: 28/ 08/2012.
Ceremony : Not yet Booked because am at work now.

Interim: 09/07/2012 informed UKBA through letter about change of address.
: 13/08/2012 called UKBA for confirmation of address and update and
I was inform by polite lady that application will be completed soon.
