hi every one this site is very much of a help to me

and i am really grateful to every one here for helping out,

I am in London on a non eu visa with my British Spouse i want to know if i am going to Ireland

do i need to apply for a visa of some sort to enter Ireland with my British Spouse at first ?

i want to know if i can apply for the eu family permit(for ireland) from my non eu home country Pakistan

will i be requiring the same things

like my non eu passport, her British passport and our civil marriage certificate instead of applying from london

i was thinking should i apply in London for a non EU Family Permit first

before going back to Pakistan how long will it be for (i thought they give the entry visa of some sort for 3 months to enter ireland ) and after when you are there you can apply for a EEA2 in 3 months

This will tell you everything you have to know. I had all the questions you may think about and I have answered them all here.

I also have other posts which you may be interested in so do a search and put my name as the author.

To summarise:

You can travel to Ireland on your UK RC. No problem. I would advise getting the boat from Hollyhead to Dublin. Then in Dublin, you and your wife will have 3 months grace. She will have to find a job. When she has a job, you can then submit your application for the Irish Resident Card (EU FAM). When the application is acknowledged, you will receive 6 months temporary Stamp 4 residents card. You can work on this also.

They take 6 months to the day to give a result on the outcome of your application.

I have read you detail

i want to why haven't you applied for the UK spouse visa on surinder singh case because i see in the end you get the Multi Visit visa for 6 months

because all the trouble of going through EU state is to get the UK spouse visa through your British Spouse as a economic migrant worker

In short why the visit visa when you can apply as a spouse of economic migrant worker

Irish visit visa applied for on 17 November 2011 (FREE)
Irish visit visa issued on 24 November 2011 (FREE)
Arrived in Dublin, Ireland 2 December 2011
Residence Card application sent 28 December 2011 (FREE)
Residence Card application acknowledged on 13 January 2012
Stamp 4, GNIB card received on 20 January 2012 (FREE)
Irish Multi entry visa applied for 15 February 2012 (FREE)
Irish Multi Entry visa received 22 February 2012 (FREE)
UK Visit Visa applied for on 7 March 2012 (FREE)
UK Visit visa received on 8 March 2012, valid for 6 months, multi entry (FREE)

We got the visit visa becuase at the time my wife only had a temporary 6 month Stamp 4 resident card.

We have not applied for the RC in UK becuase we do not live in the UK and currently have no plans to do so.

When we do decide to go back to the UK we will avail the Surinder Singh route.
