6 month visa expiring on saturday

Post by nad2107 » Thu Sep 13, 2012 11:31 am

Hi

i was wondering if anyone can help me please. My husband is here on a EU treaty right visa as I am a EN national. He was initially given a 6 month visa and had to send of documents for stamp 4. We have sent the documents off and not heard anything back from the EU treaty rights section. Our concern now is that his 6 month visa expires on saturday which only leaves tomorrow. emails have not returned any response and we are panicking that he will be illegal here.

Any ideas what we can do. He went to the INIS yesterday and they said its to do with the Ministry of Justice so nothing we can do. You just have to wait for a decision from them.

How did you sent the EU1 form + required documents ? By ordinary post or registered post ?

Did you got acknowledgement letter from DOJ that they have received your application & will return back in due course ?

hi

yes we send in person at INIS as we only leave a few streets away.

Really - but does that not leave you illegal in the state. I hope they sort it out as this is so stressful.

The did send a letter saying the decision would be made within the 6 month time frame and they have send various documents back as well via registered post.

Did you contact anyone regarding this when yours was delayed
