it mention about minimum income threshold for sponsoring is £18600.
I want to ask whether the regulations has now applied in visa process? and if anyone of you guys apply for RC recently, at least this august? maybe you can share your experience. it would be helpfull for my friend to know.

thx before
That is only relevant if she is applying to stay in the UK as spouse of a UK national. If she applies as spouse of an EEA citizen (i.e. the EEA2 route), then there are no minimum income requirements, although obviously her spouse will need to be excercising his treaty rights (for instance, by having a job in the UK).
hi bdb303,

thx for your reply. so you mean this regulation is only for non EEA who married with british national. for non EEA who married with EEA national there is no minimum income treshold as long as they have treaty right and have a job in uk?
This may help clear it up for you: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... spouse-cp/
Look at the list of exceptions at the bottom.

My query wasn't along the lines of demanding to know where the application was but was just kindly asking for an update due to my registered post envelope being sent back when I requested my passport (and my wife's) back a few months ago. As a result I had no way of tracking when the RC (on paper) would be sent so asked if they could check if it had already been sent.

Treat them with a bit of respect instead of demanding answers and that seems to be a winner!

Hi everybody.

Wanted to share my experience so far:

EEA2 Unmarried partners application:

Sent to HO - 29/06/2012
COA received - 24/09/2012 ( after my solicitor sent three letters)
COA without permission to work :( and apparently nothing can be done though I was on PSW visa before and was working....now just have to wait until get my RC to start work again -not very good news.
RC -?

Would appreciate if you could share your experience if anybody got COA with right to work through EEA2 Unmarried partners route?

Thanks

Will do. I sent an email to the two email address mentioned previously in this thread and got a reply today. It seems to be a standard reply and it says if I want to ask for specifics of a particular case I need to send a letter to UKBA in writing. I did send one out yesterday after the call so fingers crossed. I'm planning on calling them every other day just to check where the application is as well.

Hi ya, I called UKBA yesterday as well and was told they can't chase for me for the COA and I need to write to them myself. A bit confused here so they can in fact put a request out for the COA?

May I ask which number did you call? Was it 0151 672 5626. Option 1 then 2?

Many thanks!!

Hi buddy,It was actually a hustle for me a bit.I phoned them when my application was 2.5months and they told me it was not validated. But I kept calling every other day on 015... number u have there until one day a woman told me that he was gonna request one for me becuase it looked on the system that it's been shifted to the right department. Two seeks after (that was 14/09/2012) that is today (actually today is 25/09/2012 instead of 23/09/2012 i wrote in my time line), I received it this morning.

I think it's worths calling them some times and it's worths calling at different time to talk to different operators there because some of them say different things.some would say send a letter, other will make a request when they see that the information shows they need to.

My scenario !!!

Post by ruben7 » Tue Sep 25, 2012 8:32 pm

Hi everyone, I wanted to tell you all about my case. I am married to an Italian and I have submitted the EEA2 Application on the 11th of this month, it's really annoying to see how most people have been waiting for so long on their COA.... I personally have only been waiting for 2 weeks.... but the main problem is that I have already 2 employers who want to hire me, but they are asking me to provide them with some sort of document that states my right to work in the UK.... Unfortunately all I have is a stamp on my passport that reads Leave to enter the UK is hereby given for 6 months.

______________
EEA2 SENT = 10/09/12
EEA2 Received = 11/09/12
COA = ?
RC= ?

QUICK QUESTION

Post by ruben7 » Wed Sep 26, 2012 12:05 pm

IS THERE anyone here, who came in to the country W/O a EEA FPermit, and just got a stamp at the airport from an HO that reads : Leave to enter the UK is hereby given for 6 months ??? and if there is someone were you able to get a job or work before getting the COA ???

I know it is possible, but the employer will need to understand that I only have 6 months worth of VISA and that I am waiting for the extension

Thanks a lot for your comments, I just want to know if someone has gone through this !

That is the cruelest reality. Ruben7, I know, that is the worst situation without CoA. I am in the same position like you. Through this forum I have found some things, such as...

"employers helpline number for my hubby to take to interviews
in the absence of written proof of his right to work: 0300 123 4699."

you can read and explain to your future employer about:
Reg 17 Section 3 of the 2006 Immigration Rules

You can try...

Hey guys, my wife called them up today.
They said they have me on record yet, and my documents are in the process of being validated. The lady said that she cannot really give a time frame as to when I might get the COA, so I guess I have to wait a few weeks more.

Hi Guys,
Rang HO today stating my case and that I had applied on 19/06/2012 and that I had sent a complaint e-mail. Told her that even though I got my COA on 27/08/2012 I was still not satisfied with their progress as I was transferring my RC to new passport but she said she could not access my file and check the progress of my application.
So guess have to just wait and see.

They're right there, there's no avenue for complaint as it has not hit the 6 month period yet.
