I wonder why the difference in time taken on the spreadsheet that was posted? Some are 11 weeks, some 13, some a lot more than that. Has none of the July applicant have any luck yet?

Request for new passport?

Post by Roodal » Wed Oct 03, 2012 7:52 am

Hi

Has anyone themselves, or do you know of anyone, who may have tried to get a replacement passport from their consulate whilst waiting . . . not sure what the ramifications might be, whether to indicate it is simply lost, or whether any systems might actually be joined up enough to alert the Home Office that it was reported lost?

Thanks

For what it's worth, here is a letter from the UKBA about May applications -- a very discouraging one -- that was posted on the internet:

Mr. Khan

[FOI #123969 email]

02 October 2012
Our reference: FOI 24122
Dear Mr. Khan,

Thank you for your e-mail of 4th September 2012, in which you ask for information on the current
processing times of Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) SET (M) applications.

Your request has been handled as a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act
2000.

I am able to inform you that the centre for applications for ILR in the UK Border Agency is based in the
North West and therefore the information released to you has been taken from the team responsible
within this area.

I am able to disclose the following information, and for ease of reference I have listed each question
separately, with the answer beneath.

1. How many applications were received in the week commencing 21st May 2012?

A total of 607 SET(M) applications were received between 21 and 27 May 2012.

Notes
(1) All figures quoted are management information which has been subject to internal quality checks.
(2) Figures relate to postal applications only.
(3) Figures relate to applications created on UKBA’s Case Information Database between 21 and 27 May 2012.

2. How many applications have been processed successfully?

Of the 607 applications received, 81 have been processed with a decision sent to the
applicant.

Notes
(1) All figures quoted are management information which has been subject to internal quality checks.
(2) Figures relate to postal applications only.
(3) Figures relate to applications created on UKBA’s Case Information Database between 21 and 27 June 2012.

3. If an application is made in May 2012 based on your current processing time when can
the applicant expect to hear from UKBA with a decision?

The average processing time for applications received between 21 and 27 May 2012, where a
decision was reached, was 17 working days. It is not possible to state when a decision will be
made on outstanding applications as each case is considered on the individual circumstances
of the case.

Notes
(1) All figures quoted are management information which has been subject to internal quality checks.
(2) Figures relate to postal applications only.
(3) Figures relate to applications created on UKBA’s Case Information Database between 21 and 27 May 2012.

4. If the applicant has already enrolled their biometrics as part a previous visa application
do they need to enrol their biometrics again if their application is successful?

Yes. Biometrics must be enrolled each time an application is made.

In keeping with the Freedom of Information Act, we assume that all information can be released to the
public unless it is exempt. In line with normal practice we are therefore releasing the information which
you requested via the Home Office website.

I hope that this information meets your requirements. I would like to assure you that we have provided
you with all relevant information that the Home Office holds.

If you are dissatisfied with this response you may request an independent internal review of our

Hi Guys,

Havent been on here for some time as had no news to put on.

Applied on 01/03/2012 using Government settlement checking service
Money taken out on 04/03/2012
Biometrics letter received in July 2012, completed and sent sameday
4x phone calls nothing to update
Letter from MP 07/09/2012
Phonecall no update
UKBA letter received 03/10/12 stating that ILR SET M Application approved

Thankfully after over 7 months of waiting innumerable stressful moments the application was finally approved. I now await the Biometrics card.

I would like to thank the moderators on the site and all other people who keep the faith going as not being able to share would be unbareable.

Thanks alot.

ILR Set M

Post by ILRstress » Thu Oct 04, 2012 8:26 am

Hi guys, I am still waiting desperately for my application. Has anyone from July has any news yet? Also, has anyone who submitted for ILR Set M had the Leave To Remain Pending KOL in the first place? My only hope is that this kind of Visa will be quicker to process... Thanks!

Hello everyone!

My husband applied for Set(O) and myself for FLR(M) (US Citizen)

Here is our timeline
posted on 4th Aug 2012
App received by HO on 6th Aug 2012
Payment deducted on 13th Aug 2012
Acknowledge received on 18th Aug 2012 dated as of 15th Aug 2012
Biometric Letter.. Waiting

I called up UKBA where in I spoke with an ill mannered associate fr 45 secs after waiting for 30 mins and she said she couldn't confirm if a Biometric letter was sent out for our application. I mean is this even possible that there is no data for our app after 2 months of sending it??What do I do? any help is welcomed! I am so exhausted already!

Same here, applied on 1/8/12 (via agency), they took well over 2 weeks before taking the payment! Am guessing I'll wait around for 7 - 8 months, really (can)not planning any holiday/job change/house move at all, feels like life is on hold, but still grateful I can keep working in the mean time...

Good luck everyone!!
