CD10 and ILR

Post by star13 » Mon Oct 22, 2012 4:14 pm

In 2010, just after a few days of passing my driving test, I bumped into an empty car parked behind while reversing back in to a very narrow road-side parking near my home. I took the blame as an inexperienced driver and apologised to the owner within 48 hours and requested my insurance company to pay for the scratch.

However a third person reported it to the police and I got a letter from police for my offence. I accepted my fault and pleaded guilty for “Driving without due care and attention” in the magistrate court. After carefully assessing the circumstances and checking my character record, the court considered it a relatively minor offence and endorsed my licence with 3 points (CD10) and 150 pounds fine with 70 pounds surcharge fee.

I have got my CRB report and the conviction is listed there. I am going to be eligible for my ILR in december 2012. Please can anyone suggest if I will get it or not. also please can anyone suggest a good lawyer?

Reading the Guidence on criminality requirement for ILR will be helpful.
The question is... to be or not to be....
