Daughter as my dependant ?

Hi All,

My daughter 2.5 year old is currently my wife's dependant. I am on ILR and my wife and daughter are on tier1 visa. My wife's ILR is due this december however due to holidays exceeding 180 days she will apply for pr only next year. My questions are

1. can i transfer my daughter to be my dependant ? i called home office they said i can apply for my daughter to be my dependant now using SET (F). Any thoughts ?

I am switching her from my wife's dependant cause my daughter can apply with me for citizenship in 2 months time

she was born in India

Can your daughter switch to become your dependant? - Yes (297 and 301).
Will that make her eligible for settlement? - No, because for the child to be eligible for settlement both parents must have settled status (298).
Will she be eligible for registration as a British citizen at the same time as you apply for naturalisation? - Given the other parent's PBS status, IMHO. no.

Thanks for reply. So to make my daughter as me dependant should I use set f form? That's what home office people told when I called them.

If she is given as my dependant then what status will she be in? LTR or ilr

SET(*) forms are for settlement, not for switching status as dependant of one parent to dependant of the other.

I was asking about where your child was born in case she is eligible to register as a British citizen, meaning you can by pass applying for leave to remain for her, but given she was born in India and not in the UK this is not possible.

what i am planning to do is applying for FLR(m) for both wife and daughter.

One last question do i need to take my daughter (2.5 year) to the peo application ? since i read that there will be no fingerprint BRP issues for under age of 6. so they will take photogrpah instead. So do i need to take my daughter along that day or just handover photograph. In the peo apppointment letter too i saw a note saying get your dependant

The child will need to have her photograph clicked at the PEO.
