Hi sKAUR

Firstly i am amazed how you manage to speak to someone at the BHC, what is your secret?.
Secondly i am sickened to hear, that the BHC actually said to you they rearly overturn a decision, what is the point in paying extra money and waiting 5 months for them to do nothing.
I only have a few weeks before the ECO deadline but i am not expecting them to have overturned the decision, but i will be interested in knowing why they havent overtuned the decision.

I am not allowing myself to get angry about all of this as there is nothing we can do to change this system, but when it is all over i will be making a serious complaint, and will get some answers then, please dont yourself get ill over all this, they are just not worth it.

I haven't told my barrister that the mp is involved as when i did ask him he said we only get a mp involved if the appeal is dismissed and people on this forum have involved mos before and a good response

sKaur,

What stage is your appeal at, is it still before the deadline date? If so, no MP, no barrister can do anything, because the UKBA/BHC has that 19 week deadline to work with.

When is your deadline date?

MPs can speed up application processing times by simply reminding an ECM that they've got work to do. But no ECM is obliged to handle an application any quicker if they are within their deadline.

If the ECM has 19 weeks to respond, he/she can turn around and tell the MP to wait, as they've got 19 weeks to respond.

People who say their MP helped them get a positive response are wrong and should not be giving out such vile information because it gives others false hope. MPs can occassionally get application lying around to be picked up again more quickly, it would anyway. They can get a more detailed overview of where the application is in the process, but they cannot influence the decision itself.

It's almost November, with your deadline date more than 2 months away still, you really will struggle even if you do contact your MP. I mean the deadline date is what's given to the ECM, provided they respond within it, there's not much more that can be done.

deadline or not what does it matter to the bhc dehli they have said they dont overturn decisions i just want to know what there doing. my mp has called them yesterday and they were trying to be smart and said they dont recognise my address yet i am the sponser and that address was given at time of application and appeal. however have asked for my hubbys date of birth and home address and he will call again tommorow.

And according to http://vfsglobal.com/malaysia/india/pub ... osure.html , 7 holidays so far..so effectively it's still 10 th week..

According to ukba below, 2 more weeks to go :(

95 per cent of settlement applications within 12 weeks and 100 per cent within 24 weeks of the application date.

Please note that we define one weeks as 5 working days.

Hi people,

Following on from my conversation with BHC Mumbai 2 weeks ago, i sent a followup email last friday requesting to know what is happening. This morning my wife received a phonecall from BHC Mumbai asking her to bring in her passport with a photocopy of my full passport. They have told her the appeal decision has been overturned.

Finally some good news!! Its been 10 weeks yesterday into the 19 week deadline and the ECM still had till 03/01/2013 to make a decision.

Good luck to those still waiting :)

Urgent help

Post by rodger » Fri Nov 02, 2012 1:51 pm

Hi,

I am sorry if this was already covered in the topics -I'd tried searching through existing discussions, but am in urgent need of advise, so am throwing this out - really really appreciate input from senior/moderators

Situation is this -

Applied for my wife's spouse Visa last month - provided all the requested details AND the duly completed forms (both the main application form and finacial declaration). In fact, provided over and above everything that was asked for...

Got a rejection yesterday stating that I should've signed the SU07/12 sponsor declaration form! What is annoying is this was not listed as required form on the UKBA site, nor did VFS do its job properly of pointing out...Sadly this has messed up a number of commitments/plans we'd had, not to mention the loss of the visa fee. Any advise?

Rodger
