Application Timeline
Eligibility criteria: EU citizen exercising treaty rights for 7 years (RP/EEA1 issued in 2006, PR/EEA3 in 2012)
Method of application: NCS (Maidenhead)
Date of application: 1st November 2012
Date of receipt by UKBA: 2nd November 2012
Date of debit of fees: 6th November 2012
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 6th November 2012
Date of receipt of approval: 14th December 2012 (dated 6th December 2012)
Date of Ceremony: 9th January 2013 (in Hampshire)

I went for the private ceremony because for a group one they offered me a place the 6th March, which I thought was actually beyond the 3 months time limit. In truth they did offer me an alternative place the 20th February in another city, but it would have meant I could not have any guests with me. The private ceremony was a tad expensive, £130, but the venue was great, and my guests enjoyed it, thanks to the very professional Queen replacement who managed it flawlessly.

Update: Requested my documents back (passport) on the 26 October 12, as i plan on traveling in December and i wasn't sure if i would get an approval by then. Got my passport back on the 5 November 12 dated 31 Oct.

Rang HO on the 5 November 12 (before i received my passport) and was told by a guy that my application is in process and i'll hear something soon.

UPDATE: RECEIVED MY APPROVAL TODAY (07 NOV 12). 5 Weeks from debit of fees.....soooo excited

The processing times have gotten a lot quicker since September, it seems!
4 weeks from applying to approved -- plus one week for Royal Mail...
