Collection of OCI - Experience

Hi All,

Collected OCI for family yesterday, the experience has not been great but finally it is over.

The security person at the HCI London was not sure what was going to happen till 4.35, he used to say we might be let into the Embassy or numbers called outside.......this is it seems to give the best SERVICE.

In the end they decided to call numbers near the window and everyone just crowded around it. The token numbers being called out was not audible to the people at the back and when audible could not get to the window as people would not move.

I personally had to hand over my token to some lady at the front near the counter to collect our OCI's.

JUST GLAD IT IS FINALLY OVER.

experience was not that great. though glad that it is done now.

Did you self-attest your photocopies?
I don't see any guidelines in the HCI London OCI website to selfattest photocopies although some members seem suggest it! Perhaps i am looking at the wrong site.

if possible why not self-attest to avoid any issues.

while CGI london does not mention this but CGI birmingham clearly says the same.

The documents enclosed with the application should be self attested.

I submitted in person at HCI london and did not self attest the photos, but the documents need to be self attested as mentioned by vij_sp_1980
