PSW Dependent - Proof of residence

Hi All,

I have a quick question about proof of residence. I have been staying at current address from last year and half. My existing house contract ended (on papers) in march 2012 but have been on roll over contract last 1 year. It had been never problem but now I am applying for my partners PSW visa as the document needs to be submitted proof of residence. Can you please advise on below

1) Is it mandatory to provide proof residence when visa application is filed?
2) Instead of proof of residence (Tenancy agreement) can a letter from work place be submitted as per their records/ bank statement/ ?

1) No.
2) Not sure what that letter is. Even though that is not required either but any thing relevant that may support your case can be used.
