Thats a pathetic statement. People are meant to live freely where they want on this planet earth. Besides, Millions of Irish emigrated to U.S and I don't think they're treated badly as immigrants here in Ireland.

That immigrants like yourself chose to reside here is never a reason why they should be treated very unfairly by Irish people. Get that thought off your head!.

I don't think it is a case of them loving to make immigrant's lives miserable. I think it is their laziness and gross incompetence. The bureaucracy in this country is unbelievable and I think that is the reason it takes so long.

I would agree, previous Justice Ministers were probably dearly beloved and took pleasure in delaying all sorts of applications, but I think Minister Shatter has been positive for immigrant's, so far.

Hi All

I have a question...

Those of you who received invitation in the post ?

Did they send it Registered Post to you, or just normal post?

As, i applied Apr 2012, still waiting, but, my biggest fear will be, they send it normal post, i don't get the letter, and, i wait, and wait and wait....

GNIB, Travel Document (only if you were issued 1 by the state, normally given to asylum seekers), 2 photos with reference number written at the back and the check list with fees.

Looks like they are clearing applications from 2010 and 2011. I have not seen or heard any approvals for 2012 applicants

So there is another big box on this check list. If he is going to attend please leave it blank.

Only put cross in this check box if you are NOT going to attend. Please be careful when doing this check box.

Did they issue you a travel document? if they did you will have to send this back as well and they will know your status from the application you submitted.

Hi,

Just thought I'd let you all know I just got a reply to my email inquiring about any progress -
Correspondence issued to you in the last few days regarding your
application.
You should receive it in the next day or so. If you don't
receive it please contact us again
Don't know if that's good or bad although, with my luck, it's probably a deportation order.. lol

I'm a March 2009 applicant (been in Ireland a total of 11 years) and had been waiting for a decision for nearly 4 years so please forgive my slight cynicism :)

Good luck to you all.
