Help in MN1 Form Section 6 and in AN Form 1.16

Hi all, I am applying in coming Monday but stuck on two questins, one in MN1 form and one in AN form.

MN1 Form - Section 6: does a child under 18 needs to sign 6.5 where as both father and mother already signed in 6.1 and 6.2 given consent on child's behalf??

AN Form: Section 1: 1.16 Please state the date that you moved into this address??

For the above 1.16 entry, i moved in to my current address in 2004 when i was on student visa. And my visa was changed in 2007 in the light of HSMP. Here i am confused as what shall i mention in 1.16. As if i put dates of 2004 when i moved in to my current address i may confuse the case worker? And in that case do i need to provide all the previous (expired) passports hloding UK visa's?

Please advise, i will be much obliged.

1) Are you applying under section 3(5) and 4D?(for your child on form MN1) If not then this section does not apply to you.

2) If you have been living at your current address since 2004, just write the date you moved into that address as it only asking to provide address for the past 5 years(from the date of Application AN). Case worker needs the address not your immigration history in this question.

Registration at the Home Secretary’s discretion - Section 3 (1) application 10 Illegitimate children

Must be section 1(3), not required to fill section 6.

my kids were born abroad, and they are applying as we are applying for naturalisation as their parents.

In that case you and your wife needs to consent to the application(section 6), not the child unless they are making application on their behalf.

Make sure you choose the right section, seek expert legal advise, as this guide is very confusing.

Section3(1) applies if you not married to the mother of your child born abroad.

Read page 3, section 2 of Guide MN.

Section 3(1) is the correct one to use.

As per the Guide MN:

• section 3 (1) any other case not listed below where it is considered to be in the child’s best interests to be granted British citizenship.
