PLEASE HELP!!! Citizenship for my UK born Kids, what to do?

Post by ranag20 » Thu Feb 21, 2013 10:13 pm

Hi All,
I am applying for ILR using PEO Croydon on the 20th of March 2013 for me and my wife (dependent) but I am not applying for my 3 UK born kids as my intention is to applying for citizenship for my kids using MN1.

My question is regarding MN1, some one said to me that I need to apply for ILR first for my kids and then citizenship?

Can some one please help me regarding it because I am confuse what to do?

Many Thanks

UK-born children do not require their own ILRs for British citizenship, but they do require a parent's ILR/PR.

Thanks for quick reply. When I will apply for my kids citizenship which form should I need to complete?
Some one said MN 1, is it the right one?
In form MN1 there is a question about kids that "when was the child issued with ILR?"

Thanks

Can you quote the complete question exactly?

Means, If the child has an ILR then you need to fill otherwise leave it blank.

A child born in the UK can be registered as British Citizen if one of the parents is settled in UK.

MN1 is the correct form to use.

That question has to be left blank.
