Marriage certificate not required while applying HSMP ??!!!

Post by Paulhsmp » Fri Mar 09, 2007 5:57 pm

Hello,

I am going to submit my HSMP application next week. I would appreciate if you could review my document list and suggest me about any week point. Please give your comments in this thread or mail me to paulhsmp@gmail.com

Total 95 points

Education: Points claimed 30
Degree Certificate (Bachelor of Technology).
Mark list transcripts
Letter of equivalence from NARIC.

Age: Points Claimed 20
Original Driving License.
Passport details page (notarized)

Earnings: Points Claimed 45
12 months pay slips (with seal and signature.)
Original Bank statements covering the 12 months period.
Letter from employer in letter head stating my annual salary.
(Please note that I am not attaching any tax papers here. 9 out of 12 months are falling in the financial year 06-07 and I have not yet received my tax papers. 3 months out of 12 are falling in the financial year 05-06. I am thinking whether to attach the tax papers of last financial year 05-06. In the tax papers, only my annual salary is mentioned and financial year 05-06 salary is very less than that of my current financial year salary. I doubt whether they see this as a contradiction in my earnings document.)

English Language
Original medium of instruction certificate from University as per HSMP requirement.
Degree certificate attached with the Education section.

Other docs (Additional)
Marriage certificate
Notarized copy of Spouse passport. (Will this do any harm?)
Notarized copy of my passport. (Will this do any harm?)
A letter with contact details of my company HR

Covering letter for HSMP.
Duly filled HSMP application form.

If you feel that any of these documents are not required and that may do harm, please let me know.
Also please let me know if you feel something is missing in the list.

Thanks

Paul, you don't need to attach your graduation mark list.
For the tax returns, it is very important to submit them even if they only cover part of the period claimed. If you cannot send them for any reason, then you should request exceptional consideration and provide evidence to support your claim for exceptional consideration.

Thanks Nouna,
I can submit the tax paper of a part of the period covered. (means last financial year 05-06)

In India, we don't have signature in the tax paper (saral form). Will this be a valid evidence?

Should I tick in the tickbox 'Q33. Income Tax return covering period' in the HSMP application form if I submit only the tax papers cover a partial period.

Can anyone tell how to get the signature in Indian Saral form?
Is Saral a valid evidence for tax submission in India?
Who has to sign in this form?

If you have tried to get signature in your Saral form, please comment.

If you go thru all the posts...you will find many instances of rejection by HO stating that IT return is not original.
I would advice that at the least you get your Form-16 copy signed and stamped from your employer.

Hi,

SARAL is not a IT return form. It is self assessment form and HO rejects all application depening on SARAL.

ALso you do not need to submit your spouse's passport marriage certificate etc.

Please only submit the documents which are asked to. Additional documents will/may confuse the case worker and can affect your application.

Hope this is clear

Hi,

Marriage copy was required in the OLD HSMP RULES where people used to claim points for the spouse education/experience.But after the rules changed this is not required.
