Have anybody got the schengen visa to Netherlands recently? How long you get the visa period if it is your second schengen visa?

A Schenegan transit/tourist visa is always valid only for 3 months. A Schenegan visitors visa may be valid up to 6 months.

A tourist visa lets you enter the Schenegan area as a tourist.

A visitors visa is one that you use when you want to visit a relative living in the schenegan area. You will need a sponsorship letter from the person you are visiting. This can be valid for upto six months.

A Schengen visitors visa may be valid up to 6 months.
Before my wife become a British Citizen, that is when she still needed a Schengen visa to visit "Schengenland", the first such visa issued at the French Consulate in London was for 6 months, but the second one was for 12 months.

In both cases each visa was endorsed to indicate that each trip was limited to a maximum of 90 days and each visa was multi-entry.
