Post by president » Fri Feb 23, 2007 2:01 pm

Hi all,

If I have to get my passport copies notarised, can I get it notarised through any lawyer in India or does it have to be done from a selected list of lawyers. Please advice immediately.

If it has to be done through a loist , can someone post the list please. please advice.

Thanks,
president.[/u]

HI,

You cannot simply get your docs notarised from anybody/notray.
You have to get it done by Deputy High Commission of UK in India affiliated notaries only.

If you are apply from within UK better get it notarised from UK only, as it will be easy for HO to verify the same from the notary.

I got it notarised from the following notary:

Name: Ram Bansal
Place: Southall
Phone: 02031182063
Address: 2nd Floor,92A Broadway,Southall-UB1 1QF.

I have a list of regonised list of notaries in India as well but not sure how to attach it in this forum?

Anyway hope i answered your query

Cheers

Hey,

You can get the list of recognised notary from the following link.

http://lawmin.nic.in/la/notarylist.htm

Can anybody in this forum please confirm if this is the right list.
