johnkumar, You should inform HO about changing the address

Best advice for you.simply update your address in ukba.just call ukba or do it online,I notice in some redirect mail cases royal mail normally sent back the documents to ukba.
Best regards

Hello everyone,

I have recently changed my solicitor as my EU partner was not happy with the previous one. Will it have any impact on my application process? The new law firm has sent a letter about this to home office, will they still send all my documents to the previous solicitor? If anyone have been in the same situation please share your experience. That would be appreciated. THANKS.

Hey all, I was amazed to receive my RC yesterday!! As, its only been three weeks since I applied!! Here is my timeline

EEA2 sent 25/02/13 UKBA received 26/02/2013
COA sent 27/02/13 I received on 2/03/2013 with work
RC Issued 4/03/13 I received on 20/03/2013!

I haven't seen a faster RC issue time on this forum! :D :) :D

I sent the usual documents (passports with the same last name, photos, application form, both bank statements, council tax all with the same address as parters). Partners contract letter with the changed surname, payslips, as well as one relationship report documenting our relationship (photos, Skype, airline tickets, immigration stamps on passport mentioned as proof of travel) since 2010 when we met until we got married in Dec 2012 with a wedding in Feb 13.

Thanks to everyone that helped me on this form! All the best guys!

I just had a message from my MP that UKBA said there is a letter sent yesterday from them asking for further documents which is basically my wife's Romanian ID or Passport. My wife is Romanian and we sent only her blue certificate not the passport cus she had also applied for confirmation of Permanent Residence around the same time which was issued and luckily received by us recently with her passport. Could anyone tell me how long it takes for them to send RC after they receive any further documents they asked for ?

I sent my eea2 application on 29th of Jan and I still have not heard anything from the UKBA, no COA and nothing.I have tried to phone them up to chase the case as I need COA for work but they said there was nothing they could do at this stage and I would have to wait.

Should I be concerned as it has been 7 weeks and I still have not received my COA? any ideas? any advice?

thanks in advance
Hey Mocha, I've sent it on 28th Jan and received it 1 month later, but some people receive it 2 months later, maybe in the beginning of next month hopefully you'll have it. Or maybe the visa, who knows! lol many January and February applicants are receiving the RC very quick.

I received my COA within 10 days. But I have applied 5 month ago and still haven't received my RC.

Have you written to the UKBA highlighting their infringement of EU law in taking well over 6 months to confirm your status?

Here is my timeline... I am worried it will take more than 6 month.

EEA2 sent: 20th Oct 2012
EEA2 Received: 22nd Oct 2012
COA received: 30th Oct 2012
Requested Passport back: 06th March 2013
Request Passport back again : 18th March 2013

I am planing to request the passport again by phone this time next Tuesday 26th. So it will be 20 days since I requested my passport.

This is a big shame... And in the end, they are the one that want to create a fairer and more equal society...

October applicant WITH RC

Post by flipper77 » Thu Mar 21, 2013 4:45 pm

My timeline is below - I am also an October applicant - I received my RC over a month ago.

As I've said before, I had complained to the UKBA about the time it took to return passports, and I assume that because of this complaint (and the complaint being escalated, as they didn't respond in the normal timeframe), they processed my application, mostly just to keep me quiet.

During the time they were responding to my complaint, there were exchanges of phone calls and emails, and in all correspondence I have been polite and kept to the facts - I'm sure this didn't hurt either!
EEA2 Application sent: 09/10/2012
Received by UKBA: 10/10/2012
COA received: 19/10/2012 (dated 17/10/2012)
Passports requested: 14/11/12, 28/11/12 & 12/12/12 (email) and 11/12/12 (mail)
Passports received: 17/12/2012
RC received: 14/02/2013

Maybe ukba is not in environment friendly policy and keep too much paper and files in their offices which cause delays.
