Tier 2 (General ) -Eligibility for ILR

Dear Members

I got Tier 2 (General) visa on Dec 1st 2012 initially for 3 years from INDIA. i.e till Dec 2015. Being a Doctor i was on shortage occupation list. I have a query if some one can help....

Am i eligible for ILR after 5 years of stay as i am hopeful that my visa will get extended in December 2015 for for further 3 years under Tier 2 General ?

If Yes then can you please inform which specific rule will apply for eligibility for ILR after 5 years of stay in UK (As per existing Rules)? My salary range is also above minimum salary requirement.

If NO please mention the rule which is applicable?

Has this issue been resolved? I am also in the same situation (came in Sep 2012).

I just looked at the gov.uk website and I can't find the section about ILR anywhere. Can someone please help.
