Can I ask you.. I sent my application on 31st December and got my COA a month later but not a trace of the RC.. do you think I should ask out documents back? We applied EEA1 and EEA2 and I desperately need to travel. Are you married or your visa was based on other situation?

thanks
If you sent your application on 31st December, the earliest the UKBA could have received it was 2nd January, meaning that you shouldn't expect a decision before 2nd July. If you need to travel, you best ask for your passport back now!

Post by josh06 » Tue Mar 26, 2013 6:12 pm

Hi,

Guys could you please give me the UKBA contact number for request of RETURN DOCUMENTS? Or query for updates of the documents.

I requested my passport return on march 05, 2013 but still waiting. (email)

Many thanks!

Hi Luhby,

Why do you suggest to only request for return of the non-EEA passport in 'extreme' cases?
Well I believe everyone wants to get the visa on the passport instead of a A4 paper. I would only ask for the non EEA passport if one needs to travel or use it for something urgent.

I only put in the subject: Main applicant: my name, Case ID: the number
And attached the form filled. And wrote Request of passport form attached. Thats all.

I am married. If you need to trave you should ask for the passport for sure, but like i said its not guaranteed that you will receive your visa now...but many people are getting..so there is a chance. If they dont issue your visa, later they will send it in a A4 paper.

EEA2 delivered to UKBA: 25/10/12
CoA received: 08/11/2012

My wait is finally over -- my RC came in the Post yesterday, so almost exactly 5 months. The document itself is dated 21 March.

hi everyone. i've sent my application 24 september and recieved my COA at 15 October.

During this time I've changed my address and started tp get scared about my passport is got lost. So I've sent a very kind leter to ukba and ask them if my passport got lost or still in their hands.

after 2 days of my letter they send a fax to my husbands work place and asked if he is still working there or not. then they replied my letter at 19.03.2013 and in this letter they wrote me that our applicatioıns are still under review and a decision on both applications will be made in due course and followed by return of all documents.

it is funny couse it has been already 6 months so which due course are they talking about?

should i call them and ask my passport back or wait 2 more weeks? if i shoul call which number should i try?

As I applied combined for EEA1 & EEA2, I received a CoA with a case ID.

My wife needs her passport back for work travel so I need to request her passport back. How do we do this? I mean, how do I ask for just the EEA1 passport back? There seems to be no case ID number for that.

This is a bit urgent, so I would appreciate a quick reply.

edit: I don't have a Royal mail tracking number, that's why i ask about the EEA1 case ID.

Also, which of these is applicable to my wife's EEA1 application status? - "Main applicant – Spouse – Dependant – Sponsor - All"
EEA FP: 07/09/2012
UK entry: 23/09/2012
EEA1+EEA2: 19/04/2013
Non-EEA PR+EEA DCPR: 11/12/2017+16/12/2017
British citizenship: 06/12/2018

Post by londonman » Wed Mar 27, 2013 4:49 pm

Hi everybody,

I have just received my RC today after 5 months waiting and one passports request.

Here is my time line:

EEA2 sent 20th Oct 2012

Passports requested 10th March 2013

Thanks. Both of them (mine and my wifes (EEA national) as I've been reading that all people who is requesting their passports is getting the RC.
I did put 'travel abroad' and told them that please use the Royal Mail envelope that I've included in the application when I sent it.

Cheers!

I've just got my RC today so happy and relieved :)

here is my timeline

EEA2 sent: 3/01/13
EEA2 HO received: 4/01/13
COA received: 1/02/13 dated: 29/01/13
RC received: 11/03/13 dated : 4/03/13

just 2 and a half months :)) never call or email after got COA

wish all you good luck
Hey! it's me Net ( the wife ) I just want to share my case with I sent them 2 application form after I knew I've used the outdated EEA2 application form.

I sent another EEA2 application form on the 27th of january 2013 and I said on the cover letter that I've used 07/2012 version of EEA2 application form so I sent new 12/2012 EEA2 application form to them.

The thing is I received another COA on last monday ( 25/03/13 dated: 20/03/13 ) after I've recieved my RC with stated that thank you for you application on the 27th of january 2013 blah blah blah but COA said they couldn't confirm my right to work. so I e-mailed them that it may be an error coa cuz i've already got RC.

this made me realize that our RCs are depend on case worker which I was lucky that I've received my RC in 2 months. The problem that i found was about case worker didn't read my cover letter about my previous application ( maybe they don't talk to each other ) just put our application to case worker.

so my 2nd COA from my 2nd EEA2 application was dated 2 months after they received it but my COA from 1st EEA2 application was dated 25 days after they received it!

umm interesting :p

any experience??
