Hello, I've got one question- once you receive the approval letter can you call the Council to book the ceremony or you should wait until the Council contacts you? I applied also thru Islington council.

Thank you.

The approval letter INSTRUCTS you to contact the council (contact details provided in the letter) within 21 days of the date shown on the letter. I'm calling the council as soon as they open this morning! :D

Thanks a lot for the info.

I looked up on Islington council website and they were stating that they will send out a questionnaire by post with 3 available dates for the ceremony- that's why I was a bit confused whether I need to wait for their letter or just call them.

Hi,

When I called to town hall to book an appointment for citizenship ceremony, they said they don't have my details with them and I need to call them after 3-4days.

Has anybody else also faced similar situation? Is it common?

Thanks n Regards

Yes, me and Alish60 are in a similar situation. Did the council ring ukba to get you an update. They should be able to get information from HO.
