My experience at Edinburgh NCS - only one picture - must be COLOUR (I had BW and got sent to a foto booth) - was not asked to sign the back - and this pic was the one affixed to the referee page. I thought other pics would be needed. Make sure pic is not one which has already been used in your passport for visas/IRL - must be very current.
See what other experiences are before sending off.

Please reply I'm in same situation

Post by Misu79 » Tue Apr 16, 2013 1:11 pm

I just applied last week.. And got ILR on 18 feb 2013.

Could you please tell me about your immigration history? What date did you enter Uk? What category of limited leave to remain you had? On what base did you apply for IRL? Did you do through any appeal in your immigration history?

I would very appreciate your answers

Thank you

I was granted ILR on 26 Feb 2013 and i do know that am suppose to wait for a year before applying for naturalization, but i just didn't bother and i decided to just try and see the outcome.

Am not surprised about the refusal.

I shall apply after 1 year of my ILR. I hope this will help others
Good luck

You only can apply straight after your ILR and not wait for 12 months if you are married to a BC and can prrove you been here in the country for the last 3 years.

Dear peterpan,

As I'm aware that the home office can wave this requirement in special circumstances..

Have you read the time restriction discretion in residence requirements?

I tried to read the document, seems complicated.
Did you consult a Solicitor, the reason why I ask is I have friends who might qualify, so just wanted to ask on the basis of that, your help would be valuable.

Did you get a reply from ukbs via email and then the approval letter or just the approval letter.

I was in a similar situation where I received my invitation a week after I chased UKBA after waiting a couple of months, albeit my invitation letter asked me to contact council in 21 days from the date of the letter. The letter was dated 45 days before the date I actually received it. Council said the certificate is still with HO and now I have no idea whats happening.

It's all about your profile and confident and each case it's considered on its own merit..in the end you have to risk..approval it's guaranteed

I don't think it has anything to do with whether the application is sent through NCS or not. It may have to do with the fact that some councils only seem to post the applications once a week or so
