approved!

Post by melimango » Tue Apr 10, 2007 1:51 am

Hi all,
Received my approval letter today. I was refused in December as I wrote about http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... 3456d7df46

Timeline for my 2nd application:
Sent from the US 24 February
Credit card charged 8 March
Documents (aside from the approval letter!!) received 6 April
Approval letter received 9 April

I submitted:
-College diploma
-Driver's license (age 25)
Salary claimed from calendar year 2006. I had two jobs and did not save my paystubs so I claimed exceptional consideration...
-W2 tax form from job #1
-W2 tax form from job #2
-bank statements, signed and stamped from the calendar year
-letter from job #2 employer stating salary and also that my bank statements listed another's company's name (glad that one worked out)
-final paystub from each... the only ones I had
-Letter from university stating degree was taught in English

very happy to have found this message board, I wouldn't have been approved without it!

Guys,
I do not think that 16th March is Unlucky day...as I have seen some applicants whose receipt date was 16th mar and already got the decision. To my dismay, I recently have seen one applicant who got HSMP approval having receipt date as 29th Mar.

So, I think, our cases should be assigned to a CW who should be on a vacation....lets hope for the best...friends!!

Please share ur first 4 digits of ref number, so that we can confirm that only cases with some range of reference numbers are getting delayed.
To start with my ref number is: 2115**

Who is next?

I called HO Today, It says that they are still processing the applns received on 22nd March (The same old message). But After seeing the approvals/decisions of applns received on 23March, it is sure shot that our cases should have gone for verification.

man I am not worried about Verifications...I am here in UK and and my visa is running out on 30/4/07.

Time is the Keyword in my case...and out of 100s of applications they chose my bloody application for freakin verification.I m so so Down....dont know what to do. if they dont make a decision in next 7 days..i have to book my flight back to pakistan....anyway...i m having that little faith...

By the way...there is nothing much to verify in my case....
I have a UK masters degree....Ielts 7.5 passed here in UK....Full UK driving licence....my employer is a US based company..which can be contacted by phone or fax in US or pakistan. only thing is TAX documents..and anyone who knows the pakistani tax system would realize that its a nightmare to get anything verify from pakistan tax department....

i the mean time we can do three things
Hope hope hope
bye guys

jobi10 , if your visa is going to run out , you can still apply for FLR (HSMP) and then you will be able to stay in the country until a decision has been made about your HSMP application.

To everyone else, I realise that the HSMP application is an extremely important issue, but please for the good of EVERYBODY do not keep ringing and emailing the home office for applications that you have only just sent in. The timelines for response are 5 - 14 Weeks. If everybody keeps always contacting the home office then they can not respond to situations where there is actually a problem.

I really appreciate the comments from fellow forum members..

I would not ring HO everyday as call center staff are useless plus they make notes on system about our calls.

now million dollars question...Should I fax an urgent treatment form?
as my student visa is running out.....

I can make FLR(hsmp) application but if they turn my HSMP application down, I will be losing my FLR fee as well.....I m no tramp but still cant afford to lose that money...
So visa expiry does come under Urgent treatment condition or not?

please reply
cheers

I know I may sound very desperate but cant help it.

Making call to them dosent affect the decision they make. They may make logs of call for the sake of their own internal policy.

And yea..you can request them for urgent treatment.

Make sure you tick 'other reason'. It is very valid reason as it may save your unnecessary costs of travelling (not that you dont have money). The will understand it.

In any case, i am sure that our decision will come out by the end of next week. InshAllah

HSMP07?? any update?
