Post Nov 2012 Applications

Post by Noman Abbasi » Wed May 08, 2013 4:55 pm

Looking at the Data base, the trouble areas were the applications June-Oct. This is where the delay caused backlogs. Due to Olympics, I could see it was coming as they were shedding staff from UKBA at the same time putting the data processing clerks as Immigration officers at the airport.

We do not have much data for applications Jan-2013 onwards but 38% completion rate in Jan application, shows that the things are improving.

But you can never tell with UKBA when another crisis surfaces up.

Best of luck everyone. I hope they realise there are real people and their lives attached to one plain unattractive bunch of application forms. :?

How to Access Skydrive?

Post by Damanisshallo » Thu May 09, 2013 10:38 am

Please find below the links for various timelines and the procedure to deal with the spread sheet.

How do I put application timeline on skydrive?

Skydrive for SET(O) 10 Yr Long Residence

Skydrive for FLR(M)

Skydrive for Naturalization

Skydrive for British Passport

1. You need a Skydrive ID (Hotmail/MSN/Existing Email) Click here
2. Click Edit Workbook Menu
3. Select Edit in Excel Web App
4. Just add your details to the bottom of the table
5. Once done Click View and select Reading View.

NB: Do not insert any rows in between as this could affect the graphs to the right. Once you've added your details to the bottom of the table, the table can be sorted by "Application Sent Date" (Column B) Ascending and then by "Passport Returned"(Column G) Ascending.
Statutory Warning:Members are advised to make thorough inquiries before acting upon any description displayed on my behalf.

Please help on my case - Partner of 10yrs settlement

Post by happysnappy » Thu May 09, 2013 9:13 pm

Hi all,

i'm new here. would like to ask advice for my case.

I was originally granted student dependent in 2007, then moved to psw dependent in 2011.

my husband sent out his ILR(10 years rules, he was PSW previously) application last September, and was not granted until 14th of April this Year.

Due to the new rules taking effect on 6th of April, I decided to send my application of Partner of a settled person on 5th of April, using FLR(M) and cheque of £651 (old scheme before 06/04/13)

I received my passport and approval letter last week, but not the ID card due to the bank holiday. On the letter, it says I'm granted for 30month leave to remain which looks like they applied the new probationary rules (3+2 years) on me. However, I thought my case should apply to the old transitional rules (2 years).

Is there any suggestions or ideas from you guys? Do you think I can write to the case worker to ask him to reconsider? I'd really appreciate your help.

10 years - Continuous Residence Gap broken?

Post by missdonkey » Fri May 10, 2013 1:39 am

Hi Guys,

Another silent reader of this forum since February 2013. It's been very interesting reading up on your different situations and the amount of support this forum has given others in time of need and despair. Clearly, my partner and I are in a crappy situation like others on this forum. I am starting to get really worried about my partner's SET (0) Long residence application because it has been almost 7 months. All we know is that, it is now with a case working team.

Can someone let me know if my partner's long residence is continuous, not broken, and lawful based on the following facts: all in time valid visa applications, never overstayed at any given time during 10 years, all gaps outside the UK less than 6 months, no more than 180 days out of the UK total.

Timeline qualifying period:

22 August 2002 - 22 August 2012

The periods I am questioning is:

Between Mar 2003 - Aug 2003 roughly 6 months or less; where he did not apply for Entry Clearance as a General visitor for 6 months because he is from a non-visa national background. He entered and exited the UK as general visitor during this time with no problems, he has bills, letters and bank statements as proof that he was living in the UK.

Has continuous residence being broken?

Our timeline as follows:

App sent: 15 Oct 2012
Ackn letter received: 19 Oct 2012
Biometrics done: 27 Dec 2012
Written to MP: 15 April 2013
Reply from MP: 18 April 2013 saying his application is with a case working team.

It would be great if one of the senior members can shed some light or experience onto this.

Thanks in advance!!!

Time spent on administrative review and continuous residenc

Post by EUI » Fri May 10, 2013 9:32 am

What are the implications of the time spent on an administrative review on 10 years continuous residence? Is it broken? Will the case worker use discretion as this was beyond my control?

I spent 8 months plus outside the country; 6 months out of the 8 months was on Application consideration and administrative review.

My application has been with the UKBA for 6 months and 1 week now or so. My MP has already made contact with them but they have not given her an update.

Do I need to send my biometric card for my wife FLRM?

Post by shahab99 » Fri May 10, 2013 1:27 pm

Can any one help me with my queries please.
I got ILR on 10 years long residency and have applied for my wife and my daughter who was born here on FLR M by post.when i was posting this form the same day i received my ILR approval letter which I have attached with the form.

My first question is do i need to send my original passport and bio metric card to support this application? or can i send the photocopies.

Second question is my wife has been living with me since June ,2009 in the UK. After her extension approval on FLRM will she be eligible for ILR as she has spend 3 years on Tier 4 dependent?

Thanks

Shahab

I can see people nowadays has made habit to tell someone to update their skydrive once they get ILR. This is very bad. I politely ask them to update them selves which is accurate and prompt and will help others to see the updated timeline instead expecting of some volunteer to update.

If someone is ready to update for everyone I am very pleased and no complaints.
