Regarding the debit of money, when would you start to worry?
Application received by UKBA on 26/04 till not debited.

Bank confirmed they have not received any request.....do you need to call them? If so what number

I'd like some thoughts please :!:

Don't worry, be patient. Some people had to wait six months for a reply. Only 7 working days passed since UKBA received your application. Normally it takes about 2 weeks to debit your account.

If everyone kept phoning for such trivial issues, UKBA staff wont have time to process our applications and we would have to wait years not weeks for a reply, like in Italy!

Chill mate, it was only a request for clarification, if you dont want to provide advice or help, better not state or reply guess it would be harmful to waste your precious time on trivial issues

Date of receipt by UKBA: 7 May 2013 (Tracked via Royal Mail)

My question is since I submitted my application via post when can I expect my original supporting documents returned to me?.

I have included a next day prepaid envelop with my application that they can use to return my supporting documents.

Thank you

If you did not have an ILR sticker on your passport but an ID card.

Was your permanent residence card returned to you or was it retained?

Hi psb,

I think if you hold a biometric residence card, you are not required to send it with your naturalisation application. I have not sent mine with my application via post, as they should know from their records about my ILR status. I sent a copy of my biometric card though.
Anyone else please shed more light?

I thought we need to send original BRP same as original passport.

If you used your biometric card for life in uk test then you definitely need to send it with application as ID proof otherwise you can send any other from list given in guidence.

Safe. As I used my previous biometric and not current one as identity for my life in UK. However I have sent them the HO letter confirming my ILR status

Hello psb , They dont want your ILR card , in fact you should send the letter that comes along with ILR card. HO wants that letter because there is a unique HO Ref number printed on the top left of that letter.

My ILR card came in an envelope along with the Home Office letter so i sent it.

If you lost that letter and if you ask me i would say ; dont send your ILR card .

I hope this helps.

Eligibility criteria: 2yrs HSMP + 3 yrs Tier 1 + 1 yr ILR
Method of application: NCS Sutton
Date of application: 18 March 2013
Date of receipt by UKBA: NA
Date of acknowledgement: dated 25 March 2013
Date of debit of fees: 25 March 2013
Date of approval: dated 03 May 2013, received 11 May 2013
[UPD] Date of ceremony: 16 May 2013

Many thanks to this forum!

PS: My wife's maiden name is stated incorrectly in the approval letter; I gather same mistake will be on the certificate (they confused it with her Patronymic); therefore we will have to send the certificate back after the ceremony. Passport will have to wait. However, happy as an elephant still :)

Congratulations! Yes, return the certificate to the UKBA address printed at the back of the approval letter (mentioned in the last column I believe). It may take up to 8 weeks to receive the amended certificate.

Eligibility criteria: 3 years work permit + 2 years Tier 1 + 1 year ILR
Method of application: NCS (Hammersmith & Fulham)
Date of submission to NCS: 05 - April - 2013
Date of acknowledgement letter: 12/4/13 (recd a few days later)
Date of Approval letter: 1/5/13 (recd 10/5/13!)
Contacted council the same day for a ceremony booking
Date of ceremony: 22/5/13 (council replied back the following working day)

Generally very pleased with the NCS service and the council. The council has ceremonies every Wed at 9:45am. The fee for a private ceremony is only £100 which seems less than everywhere else.
