UKBA contacted employer after successful Visa application

Hello All,

I applied for and was given ILR through the premium same day service.

About a week later I was informed by my employer that they were contacted by UKBA asking after me.

Does anyone know if this is usual please?

I have heard about this, and it is not usual practice.

This often happens if they feel suspicious about the documents provided by the applicant.

This is simple verification checks part of UKBA to curb forgeries.

They can contact your employer at any time before a decision or after a decision has been made to verify your application /documents.
