T1 General Ext - Earnings and Claiming period

Post by sorento » Fri May 17, 2013 9:17 am

For the T1 General extension, the claiming period is on calander year basis. If I claim 30 Mar 2012- 29 Mar 2013, and my salary payment day is the final working day of each month. It so happens that my Mar 2012 salary was paid on 30 May and my Mar 2013 salary was paid on 29 Mar 2013. Can I claim both of them or just either of them?

Yes, if both entered your account and appear on statements with dates that fall within the 364 day window. Do you actually need this extra month to score sufficient points?

BY doing so may not in line of UKBA Tier 1 earnings regulations? Seems they need just 12 month period earning, and mine will be 13 month then.. will it seem tricky?

A 12 month earning-period is defined as a period of 12 months in which all earnings garnered are counted; it is not defined as being 12 monthly payments to the exclusion of anything else.

Sounds good. One more question. If I submited applicaiton already without claiming the earnings on 30 Mar 2012, can I submit additional materials to include that? Or if it gets refused, can it be submitted again by counting that salary?

I don't think this is the case. There have been refusals earlier. see http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... 1053af2bdf

The OP is effectively trying to claim earnings for 13 months 01-Mar 2012 to 31st Mar 2013.
