Hi mfawazt,
Its same Home Office No 08706067766 and give them Ref No on your acknowledge letter.
When i try to call this number i can only speak to a computer and then she says that you have to be waiting for six months and that the call is going to end... Is there another one?

I have send them letters, emails,... But no reply.. What can u do to speed things up or do we just need to wait and stay without nothing....? Thanks for your reply!

Even if u talk to them, they gona tell u to wait even after six months.
They only speed up things if u have to do emergency travel such as some ur close relative is ill obroad , n then they need proof like letter from Doctor from other country.

Hi,
Is this your first TD or a renewal? I have been waiting for 5 months now for my second TD and would be interested to know...

Since beginning of January. I wrote the letter to my MP and she said that she would put some pressure on Home Office. This was a month ago!
When applying, did you send the original BRP or the copy of it?
Anyway, congrats and good luck, sure we will be in touch in some other thread in 2014 (naturalization)

Travel Document

Post by J2013 » Fri May 31, 2013 3:37 pm

I applied for mine on the 6th of feb they received on the 7th and sent me a receipt letter on the 8th till then nothing and we are already in may!!!
I contacted my MP who has just sent them a letter requesting a letter of acknowledgment so i will be able to get a job.

also i just find out that you need to have you refugee for a year before you are able to apply for the travel document. maybe that why they are taking a long time

Its taking around 6 months so don't worry. You don't need to apply again for BRP they will send it back.

Check your bank account if they have taken money. If they have taken money then just wait, if not call them. It should not take that long.
