Documents and registration certificate received same day, however, there is a mistake on one of the certificates, so i will have to send it back. Never mind, we are close to getting this phase sorted.

THANKS to everyone for all your support on this forum.
Just to help others, my son's amended certificate was received today by us, so it took roughly 4 weeks from date that the certificate was sent back to home office due to wrongly spelt name.

Next step is going for their passports. Thanks again to this wonderful forum.

PS: I did not send the original birth certificate when i was pointing out their mistake to them, only a copy was sent along with a letter notifying them of the wrongly spelt name, as they must have taken a copy for their records when the original was sent to them first time round. Having said this, one cap does not fit all, but just thought I should share this.

Any idea how people are finding date of receipt by UKBA?
Since you've applied via NCS, they should've given you a receipt with a Special Delivery Tracking number. Track your post using the SD number at Royal Mail

Hi meemyself&I,

It is good to know your experience!
When you requested an amended version of the certificate, did you pay for this or just send it with your cover letter?

Eligibility criteria: Section 1(3) for 1 child
Method of application: Postal
Date of Application: 12th April 2013
Date of acknowledgment: 17th April 2013
Date of debit of fees: 17th April 2013 (
Date of debit of fee adjustment: 30th April 2013 (yes, goofed up with the new fee change, so sent remainder)
Date of receipt of approval: waiting
Date of receipt of documents: N/A
Date of receipt of registration certificate:waiting

I see that people are getting responses as early as 3 weeks. I understand the delay due to the fee adjustment, but even if they take the later date of 30th April, surely it should have come by now. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
We have a family emergency, and now are trying to see if we can ask for expedition. Has anyone had any experience with expediting - emails/postal address will be very helpful.
Thanks...

No, I did not have to pay any further fees, I just sent the cover letter detailing the error.
