Do I need Tenancy agreement for dependent visa application?

Hello Everyone,

I am living in UK. Getting married this month. My wife will be applying for dependent visa from India, Maharashtra.

I want to know if I need a tenancy agreement as a document for visa application. Recently one of my friend applied for similar dependent visa and he told me that he didn't need tenancy agreement. But when I searched on the board everyone is talking about tenancy agreement. So I am confused. Please help me guys. Do I need tenancy agreement or not?

I won't be able to get hold of a tenancy agreement. That's why I am asking this question.

Other documents that I have collected are:
My Docs -
1. Letter from employee
2. 3 months bank statement
3. 5 months pay slips (I started my job 5 months ago only)
4. Copy of all pages of my passport
5. Marriage Certificate
6. TB test

Please let me know if I missed anything.

Its is not a mandatory document so if u have its fine otherwise there will be no problem.

Just out of curiosity. how come UKBA don't have a webpage which gives you a checklist of documents that you need? I have been looking for one since a long time.

For spouse visa YES! but for dependent visa good to have one. So if you can get one easily send it with the application.
