BC for child born outside UK - parents on ILR

Post by harsha7kp » Tue Jun 25, 2013 10:08 am

Hi,
Im sure there are many other people who would have had the same query, but Im asking this again as my wife has just got her ILR and my sons dependent visa will expire in a months time.

My son was born in India in september last year and he was given a dependent visa since my wife was still on dependent visa then.
This is my current situation -
1) Both me and my wife are on ILR now. I had got my ILR a couple of years back and we do not intend to apply for BC in the next 2 years atleast.
2) We would like to apply for our sons' BC right now. Is this possible - i.e., can a child born outside UK apply for BC, if both parents are on ILR?

Please let me know, so that I can then prepare for my son's application.

Thanks,
Harsha

No, unless a parent successfully naturalised.
