T1 gen dependent form quest UK born baby, applying at India

Post by aayushd » Fri Jun 14, 2013 11:34 am

Hello All,

My son was born at London last month and i have obtained his Indian passport yesterday. We need to travel to India next month and i want to apply for his dependent VISA from Bangalore VFS the next day of our reaching there. I will fly back to UK after a week and my family will stay at India for a couple of months.

Q1. Do they require my orignal passport as well for my Son's VISA application? If yes, do submit it with applicaition or just see and return immidiately?

Q2. Will TB screening be needed for my son born in UK spend only 2 days in India?

Q3. How easy are the appointments available at Bangalore VFS?

Q4. Since i already have my T1 they have not listed PBS related proofs ( including income proof). Is there a chance they might ask that?

Q5. In the application form
i have following doubts:

Section 2 - Passport Information
12 Issuing authority High Comission of India ( Is this correct?)

Section 3 - Your Contact Details ( Born in UK, lived in UK but at time of application it will 2 days of living in India...What to fill?)
18 Select the Country in which you live
20 How long have you lived at this address?

Section 4 - Travelling With Child Applicant (Mother Nominating Adult)
48 What is your relationship to the Child you are accompanying to the UK Father
(Father or Son ????)
Section 5 - Immigration History
49 Have you ever travelled outside your country or residence‚ in the last 10 years? No
50 Have you ever travelled to the UK‚ in the last 10 years? No
(Is the answer No correct for both the questions?)

Section 6 - About the Main Applicant
73 Are you related to your main applicant? Yes
74 You stated that you are related to your main applicant.
Please select your relationship to the main applicant Father
(Father or Son)

Section 6 - Employment and Finances ( Is this from my Son's perspective or my perspective???)
92 You stated that you receive income from other sources‚ including friends or family.
Please give details

Q1) They dont need your original passport, photocopies of you and your wife
passport is necessary.and also photocopies of the BRP card.

Q2) Guidance bit confusing on this but my advice is to get the TB screening
certificate to avoid unnecessary confusion and delay your baby visa.

Q3) Its not a big deal you can easily get one.

Q4) Yes you need to satisfy all the dependant requirements.

1. 600£ should be in your account for more than 3 months.
2. 3 months bank statements.
3. 3 months payslips.

Section 2 - Passport Information
12 Issuing authority High Comission of India ( Is this correct?)

-- It doesnt matter, high comission of India or passport authority of India.

18 Select the Country in which you live ---- UK
20 How long have you lived at this address? ---

Section 4 - Travelling With Child Applicant (Mother Nominating Adult)
48 What is your relationship to the Child you are accompanying to the UK Father
(Father or Son ????)

:-), If mother is accompanying the baby the relationship is mother..

49 : Yes
50: Yes

73: Yes
74: Father

Thanks a lot Uday2509. Are you sure about yes for "have you ever travelled to UK?". Asking this as he would have travelled FROM UK but not TO UK. Also shouldn't the answer of "Please select your relationship to the main applicant Father " be son instead of father?

Other members please confirm this from your experiences.

Hi aayushd,

I am in similar situation and would be travelling to India next month and apply my son's dependent visa. If possible could you update the status of your son's application and time take to get the Visa.

Also let me know if TB screening is done.

Regards,
R
