can I apply for dependent visas for my dependents separately

I have Tier 2 General visa, and my wife and children have Tier 2 G dependent visa. Our visa is valid for another 3 years. I am now changing employment. I need to apply for a new T2G visa. My question is that, can I apply for T2G visa first using the same day service and then apply for dependent visas for my dependents visa later by post once I get mine.
