fiqbal: That means Home Office is still processing your application and they have not made a decision (approval/refusal) yet.

It may also refers a caseworker not allocated for your case yet. And if they already allocated a caseworker then you are lucky. And you will surely get decisions in a month or any day start from today.

You won't because "decision has not been made" is a very complex, deep, poetic description of some old hebrew scripts.

I would urge the home office to stop using such complicated statements.

I thought I'd post this here too.

I'm not sure whether there is truth to this 'high risk country list' theory or not but even if there is, some of you guys are being rather impatient. A lot of you have only applied in June and are saying that your application is taking long. Stop basing your expectations on some of these recent applications that have only taken 2 weeks for approval. They are not the norm. UKBA says it can take up to 6 months so anything less than that you should see it as a lucky bonus.

Plus, these applications that are being dealt with very quickly are a recent development. If you look through the timelines you will see that applications before have taken anything from 1 month to 6 months. Sometimes more. I'm not from any of those supposedly high risk countries and my application took about a month and a half to be approved. And around the time I applied (April) that was the average waiting time. Some people who are claiming to be waiting for a long time it has barely been a month since you applied!

Budmashh I think combined means, he has received a single letter addressed to both Mr and Mrs. XXXXX, your application for naturalization has been approved.

I don't think that is the case scrapper coz he applied just for him self... I think he might receive both letters same day

saying combined letter I meant - the approval and citizenship invitation from home office to contact council and book ceremony etc. were addressed in the same/one letter.

one more theory possible...I think it is more high traffic countries.. than high risk countries.. I guess they give x number of case worker for each country to understand locale.. And hence more delays in countries from where there are more applications.

Imdabs this theory cannot be correct, because I am sure there are more Indian immigrants arriving in the UK than Middle Eastern and Pakistanis. Whereas Quantity of Indians are much greater but they do not have to wait longer to get decision as compared to Middle Eastern and Pakistanis.

I am Pakistani national and applied through NCS on 1st June - the approval/invitation letter received on 22nd July. So the 'high risk countries' theory isn't exactly valid I suppose. Good luck!
