Question about applying

Hi everyone,

I recently received my ilr and i was wondering if i can apply for British citizenship straight away. Me n my wife have recently had our nikah done but not registration. We received nikah certificates will this be sufficient enough ir do i need t register a civil marriage.

Any advice would be appreciated

Not sure what you mean by Nikkah certificate ? Is that different to marriage certificate ? You need to show proof of your marriage if you want to apply as spouse of BC. Is your wife BC ?

A 'Nikah marriage' in the UK is not a legally recognised marriage, it needs to be a UK civil marriage to be recognised as such,
