Applying for OIC without surrender cert. (existing PIO)

Hi,

my wife and myself acquired british citizenship back in 2008. and obtained PIO soon after.

we would now like to apply for OIC but are confused about the surrender certificate. we don't have a surrender certificate as these were issued after 2009, do we need to obtain one before applying for OIC.
