ILR Approved at Croydon PEO.

Post by CSREDDY25 » Fri Aug 30, 2013 6:59 pm

My ILR was approved today at Croydon PEO . They issued an approval letter & said BRP will be sent within 7-10 working days.
Thanks a lot to the moderators, Gurus and the members for all your valuable feedback and advise on this GREAT forum.

Initial Tier-1 issue date: 21/09/2008
Date of Entry :12/10/2008
Validity of Tier-1 : 04/10/2013.
I used 90 days concession rule and applied within 28 days of the 5th anniversary of initial visa issue date:

Covering letter included giving a list of the documents enclosed.( Not mandatory.)

1) SET(O) form (5 years on tier 1 general) + Passport+ BRP Card.

2) Self-employed ( but paid monthly )
*a) Pay statements stamped and signed ( as they are just paper statements)( Earnings period claimed: July 2012 -June 2013)
*b) 12 months personal bank statements.

c) Also Included HMRC SA302 Tax calculation forms (for 5 years) and recent HMRC National Insurance Contributions letter.
e) Also provided accountant letter.

3) Single absence of 23 days outside UK (Provided personal letter for absence -Not mandatory but just included) .

4) Life in UK test pass certificate.

5) UKBA points calculator sheet+ also included UKBA letter issued with my successful Tier-1 extension.

-Appointment time 11 am.
-Reached by 9.30 am for apportionment ,but they didn't let me inside until 10.30m
10.30 - Entered, security check & then token provided.
11.10 am - Payment made
11.30 -Case Registration
12.00 -Biometrics done.
Then waited in the cafeteria
Display:
12.10 Awaiting Biometric verification.
12.15 Awaiting Consideration.
13.35 Under Consideration.
14.25 Ready for collection.
14.30 Collected.

All in all smooth process.
Hope this post helps the people attending the croydon PEO.

Thanks again to all the wonderful people on this forum.

Now I need to go with another set of applications for my wife and my daughter. (sadly they fall under post 9th July 2012 rules..so may be PBS dependant extension or FLR(M) applications..)

Congrats

For Self employed

*a) Pay statements stamped and signed ( as they are just paper statements)( Earnings period claimed: July 2012 -June 2013)

Have you used salary slips / dividend / UTR number?

Have you submitted self employment history / p45

For your family are you thinking about FLR (M), I think you can save application cost as compare to PBS dependent.

I have submitted HMRC SA 302 forms. These are the tax caculation forms for the specific tax years( once we file the returns).Need to request from HMRC

I am still not sure whether to use FLR(M) or PBS dependant forms for my family.Ican definetly save the cost applying on the FLR(M) , but my understanding is that their ILR clock would be reset once u change from PBS dependant to Settled person dependant. Need to browse the forum.

If your wife is completing 2 years as a dependant on the current visa, in my opinion best economical way for you to do is apply via PBS extension, as she will get 3 years extension ,which will get her through the ILR.
Whereas via FLR(M) route, she will get only 2.5 years extension ,so she may need another extension to qualify for ILR

What date you put in sec 6.1?

Post by Wireless » Tue Sep 03, 2013 12:44 am

You mentioned about using 90 days concession.

Can you please confirm what date you put in your application in sec 6.1?

"6 . 1 When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this application is based."
