(Was told it would be straightforward due to being here 14 years, it has not been the case) I received an email today stating that no decision has been made yet on my application. Do not even know whether it is with a case worker

update, received another email very promptly saying that my case has not gone to a case worker yet

Much pleased today!!!

Application date: 17 May

Date of UKBA acknowledgment: 23 May

Date of Approval 02 September

Date of receipt of approval letter: 06 September

Date of Private ceremony booked: *14 September, normal appointment availability was 30 October as of today.

Hounslow council charges 200/ gbp for the private ceremony: I think it is probably one of highest in the UK.

Congrats ukilrforman, I agree with you. I applied NCS via Hounslow and they charged 65 for it. I applied on 19th July and my application has not been forwarded to any case worker. Although I live in Reading but work near Hounslow, that the reason I opt for Hounslow.
Is there anyone in this forum who got his approval in a month time on applied via Hounslow?

Oh that is very good, congratulations. I am still waiting for my invitation letter and I phoned my local council yesterday to check in general whether they have received my certificate yet but they said me ...'sorry, they haven't received my certificate yet' And my Approval date was almost same time like you.

What is the date on your invitation letter ?

The date on the invitation is 24 July 2013. You should get your tomorrow or Monday I think

i am exactly in the same situation i also have spoken to croydon office as well and had the same response. I am going to write to my MP on monday and taking it through my MP. I would suggest try your MP. I submitted my application on 22/02/2013.
