ILR - Is Employer letters required for small gaps

Hi Team,
I am writing this for my friend Ravi, He is about to apply ILR in next 10 days

Currently he is on Tier-1 and completed 5 yrs and applying for ILR,

Doubt is, He was out country for max of <150 days in 5yrs time and there is no single gap of more than 90 days. Is there any employer letters required to show the gap while he was away from UK.

No letter needed is leave is less than 180 days in a visa year.
