Contact Information for the EU Treaty Rights Section (DoJ)

Post by Flor_mz » Thu May 31, 2007 10:17 am

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to get our passports back, as we need them for a number of things (registration at our home Embassy, change airplane tickets, etc.)

I have written e-mails, I'm planning to write a couple of letters, and I wanted to send them a fax as well. I don't seem to find anywhere a fax fot the EU Treaty Rights Section at the DoJ. The only thing I could find is the GNIB fax: 01 666 9100 (notice the prefix? 666! ).

Does anyone has a fax number for the specific section that handles the EU1 application?

That would be of great help.

Thanks!!!

Here's someone else you can try to contact as well:

Kevin O’Sullivan –
Principal Officer, Immigration Policy Division,
Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS),
Dept. of Justice, Equality & Law Reform

I dont have his email or telephone number.Maybe you can fax the department addressing him.
I got his name and title from here
http://www.lawsociety.ie/documents/even ... -Final.pdf

Paul Burns,
Principal Officer, Immigration Policy Unit,
Department of Justice,Equality and Law Reform

Here's a paragraph from the report he's written at

http://www.lawsociety.ie/documents/comm ... pburns.pdf

Even EU nationals, for whom immigration formalities are minimised, generate work in the immigration system as they seek to exercise treaty rights, such as bringing family members to Ireland. The number of such customers we have to deal with in the coming years is likely to increase substantially as a result of the significant numbers of EU nationals from the new Member States who have arrived here since May 2004 - over 138,000 PPS numbers have been issued.

Seems like these two gentlemen have been busy writing new policies for E.U spouses.Maybe we should write our complaints to them about how their ill-thought out ideas have nearly wrecked our lives.
