Current Status of Green Card Application

Post by darkblue » Wed May 09, 2007 2:30 pm

A previous post mentioned that the application only takes less than one week. Any updates from anyone else?

My application was submitted by the company days ago.

Which post stated one week? As far as I know someone mentioned that they got theirs in about 4 weeks, which is pretty good considering the dept tells you between 8 - 12 weeks.

For my application the dept told me last week that it would take about 4 - 6 weeks. Yesterday someone from the dept told me they are still busy processing applications from February.......

I guess we can only wait and pray.....

Thnx

Charl

Very sorry for the typo

It is less than 4 weeks, instead of one week.

You can't expect the government to respond so quickly. :D

I phoned the department and was told that currently the application process would take 4-6 weeks.

Just received the Green Card Permit after 2-weeks waiting.
It is really impressive.

A greencard for where???
What's the difference with this green card business and a work permit?

Congrats... how the hell did you manage that or are you qualified as some sort of rocket scientist that they desperately need:)

Great news! Hopefully my application process will be as timely as yours! My new company applied 2 weeks ago and as of yesterday I am no longer working at my old company, so the sooner the green card permit comes the better! I can't wait to actually get myself to Ireland :D
