I have asked for my passport back as I will need to travel with work. Very helpful staff at UKBA and passport arrived next day after my request. Although I had to pay £7.22 for special delivery as I asked them to leave the SP envelope I enclosed for my other documents and approval .... Does anyone know if this request will delay my application ?

No,this wont affect your application, infact your application will be treated as soon as possible, so far it is straight forward. this is based on the members experience.
How did get to pay for the next day delivery for the return of your passport please?

when you send the original letter you can ask the post office to prepay for your self addressed envelope to be sent special delivery, they will give you a tracking reference as normal and attach the label to your inbound letter

Yes I know that. I mean requesting back your document, how do you contact them and how do you pay the £7.22 .

YKsamuel - UKBA called and asked me if I wish to use the SD envelope that I have enclosed in my application or they can post 2nd class or I could pay over the phone £7.22 and have the passport sent SD. So i opted to pay and lady took my card details and provided me with tracking No. Passport arrived next day. Good luck all and will keep you posted on my progress.

You should have received a information letter from NCS, it has local NCS enquiry number. Call that number and tell them you would like to get Royal Mail's tracking number for your application.

You can then use that number on Royal Mail's website to see when the application was received.

Hi all,

The previous post was about someone else's approval. Her name is Liane and she posted the timeline in another forum here.

I have now received mine today! Approval for myself and two children born abroad. I applied on the 2nd of September through NCS Sutton. I will post the timeline in a minute
