Finally got the approvals!!!
One day after posting a hopeless message here I am devouring the letters and the good news that they announce. (Just proves my terrible sense of timing).
Amazing.
This forum really kept me going. Ever since I started putting paperwork together and passing the LiUK test, but especially since applying.
Good luck to everyone else!!!

Eligibility criteria: 5 Years WP/Tier2 + 1 Year ILR
Method of application: NCS (London)
Date of application: 20/08/2013

The only comment is that the letter asked me to contact my "local council" for the Ceremony arrangement, not the council I specified in the AN form (which is much closer to work and more convenient)...

It seems everyone who applied in early August has been approved. Should I be worried. I am still waiting. Is there a way to find out if you have been approved because I have been away from the address I gave them a lot (living with friends etc). The mail might have been thrown in the trash by accident while I was away etc.

kashif-ahmed,

Send UKBA an email on NationalityProgress@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk with home office reference from your acknowledgement letter, name, date of birth and address. They should be able to confirm the status of your application.

@fingerscrossed123. Thanks very much.

I applied on the 12th of August and the letter of acknowledgement was dated at 14th of August but I haven't heard anything yet :(

I am so worried. Why is it taking so long when people who applied weeks after me have received their citizenship. Do you think everything is okay?

@Adam77 - Sure, your dates are not too far from mine, am sure you'll hear great news soon! ;)

@xlisusx - enjoy your upcoming ceremony!

To the people still waiting - if you think it will make you feel better then try emailing the HO to check status but be warned that their email responses dont always seem to be up to date and it might stress you even more if they say no decision made (also, it probably isn't worth checking until about 5-6 weeks have passed). Seems that most applications on these boards are taking between 4-12 weeks at the moment.

I understand the stress and how worrying it can be to see applications made later than yours getting approval first! However, try to remember that if your application is correct you will get approval eventually... try not to worry!! Maybe not checking the boards for a day or two will help things calm down (that's what I did anyway!) Good news will be yours soon! :D

fingerscrossed123, I'm not planning to email them just yet and I think it's better to wait minimum 8 weeks before sending emails to HO. I try to get on with my life and not to think about it but really it's all that is in my head :). Lets hope that brown envelope finds me and those still waiting

Kashif-ahmed, I hope you letter comes through soon and its the good news that you eagerly waited for!
