My guess is that that applications arriving at HO on 8th should be processed in next 2-3 days. It remains to be seen how long it takes for the applications to be approved after fees has taken. Pre rush it was around 25 days after the fees debit.

Good estimate and little afraid about time might be taken after fee debit but shouldn't they take fee for only XXX number of applications which they can handle considering their resource capacity? so 25days might atleast stay as constant!

Don't worry about it. They do not meticulously mention everything you send. It is just mentioned as "supporting documents".

I agree, but there was a time when average turnaround was about 3 months or so, with the same payment timeline.

Nationalitly team seems to have become very efficient now. Reading from timelines, applications submitted upto 16th september have been approved. So I think it should still be about 25 days or so after fees deduction.

So now the ball has started rolling. Count 25 days or so, if all goes right.

And as of now fees not debited on my VISA credit card?

@srieuk, it was delivered in the morning. Plus credit card payments might take slightly longer to show up.

I really do not know how it happens that later applications get processed early for fees. Many people processing payments, and probably if a guy on a particular desk takes 2 days off, then the pile on his desk gets delayed.

But I don't think there is massive difference. Just a few days either way. It appears that this week they are processing payments from two weeks back. Again, about 2 weeks delay, and in some cases 3 weeks delay.

there are big delays due to big amount of applications to avoid new rules, as you see normally to get fee off your account was 3-5 days, now it's more then two weeks, I sent it three weeks ago and no fees taken

Just a question hoping find an answer, when you pay by cheque do they just put aside till they have more cheques then send it all to the bank?
applications received after mine got their payment taken and my cheque hasn't even been presented to the bank yet. I spoke to my bank and they said it appears on their system same day it is presented so the delay is from HO end not the bank end.

I planned to pay by cheque but the NCS staff member discouraged me from using it. She said as soon as they see cheque payment they will put your application aside until the funds are cleared. She said usually it could take up to a week more if I pay by cheque. She said majority of people just use cards. Although I was aware of this information I just accepted her advice and quickly swapped the payment page with the one with credit card details on it. I thought if I am unlucky then they could even lose my cheque etc.

To answer your question about cheques I think they would probably batch the cheques at least from a day and then probably send them using some sort of delivery service to present them to their own bank.
